Dr. Shilpa Bade-Gite is a Professor and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, and a Research Faculty at the Symbiosis Centre for Applied AI. With over 17 years of experience, she is recognized for her work in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, computer vision, and AI-driven automation, particularly in healthcare, autonomous systems, and biometric security. Dr. S. Ramalingam is a chemical engineer turned biotechnologist with expertise in the fermentation of genetically engineered systems in bacteria. With over five years of industrial experience in major pharmaceutical companies, he has developed and transferred technology for cellulase enzyme synthesis to Hindustan Petroleum for their 2G ethanol process. His current research focuses on cell-free metabolic engineering, multi-enzyme one-pot processes, and the development of novel biochemical pathways for the synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Notable projects include the high-yield synthesis of L-Aminobutyrate and the development of novel chemo-enzymatic processes for products like carnosine, citramalate, and beta-alanine. Dr. Ramalingam’s Ph.D. work focused on the fermentation and purification of recombinant streptokinase in E. coli, and his research also includes the metabolic engineering of E. coli and lactic acid bacteria for the production of green chemicals and biopolymers.
Dr. Ujwalla Haridas Gawande is a Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur, with over 21 years of teaching and research experience. She holds a B.E. in Computer Technology, an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. Her areas of specialization include Digital Image Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Soft Computing, and Pattern Recognition. Dr.Gawande has published extensively with over 48 international journal papers, 48 international conference papers, and 6 book chapters, and holds 6 granted patents. She has guided multiple Ph.D. and postgraduate research scholars and has received significant research funding from agencies such as CSIR and AICTE. She currently serves as Dean (R&D) and has held several key academic and administrative leadership roles. Dr. Gawande is a recipient of the Best Engineering Teacher Award and Women in Education Award, and is an active member of leading professional bodies including IEI, ISTE, and IAE.
Dr. Nabeel Al-Rawahi obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University in 1994. He obtained his master’s (1997) and doctorate (2022) degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. In 2022, he returned to the College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor. He was appointed head of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from 2011 to 2017. He has been the Dean of the College of Engineering since 2020. Dr. Nabeel has research interests in renewable energy, fluid dynamics, and decarbonization. He has around 50 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
Prof. Dr. Yahia Kourd received his Ph.D. degree in Automatic and Control Engineering from the University of Annaba, Algeria, in 2012. He is currently a Professor at the University of Souk Ahras and a member of the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy. He was a visiting researcher at GREAH, Le Havre, France, from 2009 to 2013, and has established numerous collaborative research projects with teams in France, Germany, Tunisia, and Italy. Prof. Kourd has published more than 140 papers in international journals and conferences, contributed several book chapters, co-edited a book, and successfully supervised 13 Ph.D. theses. His research interests include fault diagnosis, prognostics, signal and image processing, and robotics.
Prof. Mohammed Belloufi is a mathematician and university professor at Mohamed-Chérif Messaadia University, Souk Ahras, Algeria, where he serves as Head of the Laboratory of Computer Science and Mathematics (LIM) and leader of the research team “Evolution Equations and Stochastic Calculus.” He obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics (2014) and his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) in 2016. His research focuses on numerical analysis, nonlinear optimization, unconstrained and constrained optimization methods, and conjugate gradient algorithms. Pr. Belloufi has published extensively in international journals such as RAIRO–Operations Research, Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization, and the Asian-European Journal of Mathematics. He has supervised several Master’s and Ph.D. theses and actively collaborates with international researchers, notably at the University of Limoges (France).
Dr. Nallammai Singaram is a senior lecturer and researcher specializing in plant tissue culture, biochemical profiling, molecular biology, and data analytics. With over 30 years of experience, she has extensive expertise in in vitro cultivation and micropropagation of ornamental, medicinal, and crop plants, as well as the extraction of secondary metabolites such as artemisinin. Her experience spans both commercial and academic laboratories, including consultancy on large-scale plant propagation projects. At Taylor’s University, she teaches Crop Biotechnology, Introduction to Biotechnology, and Biostatistics, integrating research-driven learning to nurture future biotechnologists. Her current research explores molecular markers, green nanoparticles, and transcriptomic analysis of bioactive plant compounds. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohammed Alias Yusof is an Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional, Malaysia. He graduated with B. Eng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), MSc. degree in Integrated Construction Project Management from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and PhD degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia. He is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineer Malaysia. His main research interests are in the blast resistant materials such as concrete, glass, and also military and commercial explosives. He has developed a blast resistant concrete and had obtained the patent for the blast resistant concrete panel from Intellectual Properties Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) Dr Mohammed Alias Yusof is author of " Blast Resistant Materials : Concrete and Glass", book. Dr. Mohammed Alias has published extensively in the areas of blast resistant materials and technology, with a total publication count of more than 100, has served as reviewer for prestigious journals. In 2024, Dr Mohammed Alias Yusof has been awarded a Distinguish Scientist by Venus International Foundation, Chennai, India for his valuable contribution in the field of blast resistant materials and civil Engineering.
Tesfaye Hailu Gk is an accomplished academic, researcher, and entrepreneur with over ten years of experience in education, leadership, and community service. He holds a BA in Management from Mekelle University, an MBA from Dilla University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Management at Addis Ababa University. Dr. Sashikala Mishra is a Professor, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and a senior researcher at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, Symbiosis International (Deemed University). She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and has completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at National Taipei University, Taiwan. She has also served as a Visiting Professor at Sunway University. Dr. Mishra has over a decade of academic and research experience, with expertise in Agentic AI, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Knowledge Graphs, Data Science, and Intelligent Systems. Dr. Nor Erne Nazira Bazin is an Associate Professor at the School of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), specialising in Data Science, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, and System Dynamics. She holds a PhD in System Dynamics Simulation and Modelling from the University of Salford, UK, and her research focuses on applying analytical and computational methods to real-world decision-making in public policy, environmental systems, and industrial operations. Her work includes predictive modelling, data analytics, simulation-based decision support, topic modelling, and the integration of system dynamics with data-driven approaches. She has led and contributed to research projects involving big data for policy modelling, hazardous chemical risk assessment, AI-assisted topic modelling, and analytics for supply chain and environmental applications. Dr. Erne has served in academic leadership roles such as Programme Coordinator for Micro-Credentials and Deputy Leader of the Applied Industrial Analytics (ALIAS) Research Group. Dr. Kelvin Lee Yong Ming is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director at the School of Accounting and Finance, Taylor’s University, Malaysia.
